Strengths That Shine Through

Strengths That Shine Through

Even when worries have brought you here, strengths are always present. These are the qualities I noticed early in your child's story — the ones that will continue to guide, support and reassure them as they grow.

Curiosity with real depth

Alex does more than collect facts. Questions lead to connections, particularly in science and the natural world. This gives learning a strong starting point when a task feels purposeful.

A confident spoken storyteller

The fox story had sequence, humour and carefully chosen detail when Alex told it aloud. The ideas needed for writing are present, even when getting them onto paper is difficult.

Sensitivity to people and place

Alex notices small changes, remembers what matters to other people and responds warmly when someone feels left out. This attentiveness is a personal strength as well as a learning asset.

With this fuller picture of who your child is in mind, the next step is to look more closely at what has been noticed — the patterns, questions and moments that help us understand what might be happening beneath the surface.
