A Parent Concern Report gives you an independent view of what might be going on, and tells you honestly whether it is worth pressing further.

I read everything you send personally, and bring it together with my professional experience as a teacher and education professional. It highlights your child's strengths, areas worth exploring and practical next steps. Your child is never reduced to a checklist or a template — every report is written by me, thoughtfully, for your family and your situation.
No. The Parent Concern Report is educational insight and professional reflection, written by a teacher from what you and the school have shared. I am a teacher, not a psychologist, so I don't diagnose, and this is not a medical, statutory or specialist assessment, nor a substitute for one. What you get is my professional opinion in writing: what I can see, what your child's strengths are, anything worth exploring further and what I would consider next if this were my child.
Parent Insight does not diagnose conditions. A Parent Concern Report is an educational report that looks at learning, confidence, progress and behaviour from a teacher's perspective. If something suggests further assessment may be helpful, I will explain what you may wish to explore next.
The Parent Concern Report is the first step with Parent Insight. The Parent Learning Action Plan is the natural next step for families I already know, and further support and resources are planned. You are never signed up to anything by starting with a report.
The Parent Concern Report answers “what is actually going on?” — your child's strengths, the patterns behind what you are seeing, and the questions worth exploring. The Parent Learning Action Plan answers “so what do we do about it?” It takes the same evidence and turns it into priorities, practical strategies you can use at home, signs of progress to watch for, and a summary written for a conversation with school. It is written only for families who already have a report, so nothing is asked again and nothing starts from scratch.
Often it is the best moment for one. When something has started to shift, the useful question becomes which of it to keep doing, and how to protect the progress rather than assume it will hold. The update asks what has improved as well as what still feels difficult, and the plan is written around whichever of those matters most. If I genuinely do not think a plan would add anything for your child right now, I will tell you before you pay.
Yes. There is no time limit and no rush. Your Insight Record, your report and every document you sent me are kept in your private area, so the Parent Learning Action Plan is waiting there whenever you are ready — months later if that suits you better. The update simply asks what has changed since, which is just as easy to answer later as it is today.
Not at all, and this matters to me. The Parent Concern Report is built entirely from what you send me. Your child is never tested, observed or made to feel like the subject of an investigation — they need never know it happened.
A completed concerns questionnaire, and anything you'd like me to read: recent reports, a page or two of writing or maths, a reading record, notes from a meeting. If you have very little, send what you have — your own account of what you're noticing is the most valuable part.
£75. That covers my full review of everything you send and your personalised written report. There is nothing else to pay and nothing to sign up to.
The Parent Concern Report is complete when your written report is delivered to you. It does not include a reply afterwards, further questions, a written exchange, help wording emails or attendance at meetings. Your report stays in your private area for you to read, download and return to whenever you wish. If you would like practical, prioritised next steps, you can then choose to purchase the Parent Learning Action Plan separately.
The Parent Learning Action Plan is £175 in total. Families who have already purchased the required £75 Parent Concern Report receive that £75 as a credit, so you pay £100. It is only available to families who already have a completed Parent Concern Report.
Your report is with you within seven working days of receiving your completed questionnaire and any supporting documents. If something is time-sensitive — a meeting, a deadline, a place to accept — tell me and I will do my best to work to your timescale.
Parent Insight supports families throughout their child's journey from Early Years through to Year 9 inclusive. That includes worries raised before a child has started school, every year of school from the start, the transition to secondary school and the first three years of secondary.
I will tell you gently, clearly and without drama, and I will name exactly who is best placed to look further — the school's SENDCo (special educational needs coordinator), an educational psychologist, a speech and language therapist or your GP. You will never be left holding a worry with nowhere to take it.
Yes — that is one of the most common ways parents use it. Your written report gives you clear, respectful language and sensible questions to take into your next conversation, so you can prepare for it yourself with confidence. I do not attend meetings or write emails on your behalf.
A personalised written brief for one school or SENDCo meeting: your concerns organised into clear priorities, personalised questions to ask, points to clarify and suggested outcomes to seek, delivered within seven working days. Your completed Brief also includes a one-page SEND glossary explaining commonly used educational terms in clear language. It does not include attendance at the meeting, contact with school or follow-up afterwards.
